This Dual Band NA-771 Antenna will replace your rubber duck and improve your radios performance in both transmit & receive.
The rubber duck antenna is at best a compromise and induces loss to your hand held radio’s power. The factory “rubber duck” actually creates loss in your radio of -2 dB or more.
The Dual Band NA-771 Antenna has gain of 2.1 dB. This means that for close in work the rubber duck is OK, but, for longer range you need a dipole like this one. This antenna is imported but it is of high quality.
