Dual Band Ladder Line Antenna is Great!
This is a Dual Band Ladder Line Antenna for both 2m 70cm. It is designed to be a portable roll up antenna. It has high gain of around 6db. Remember that every 3dB of gain equals double the apparent power. 6dB gain makes your 5 watt hand-held act like it has 20 watts. The real power is still 5 watts, but the Effective Radiated Power (ERP) is increased due to the gain of the antenna.

The Dual Band Ladder Line Antenna features our BNC connector system (see the Blog post on connectors) to make it adaptable to most radios. Learn more about the BNC Connector System & why we use and recommend it by Clicking Here.The antenna comes with 2 high quality gold plated adapters (both SMA Male to BNC Female & SMA Female to BNC Female) to fit your Hand Held Radio. We also include a PL-259 to BNC Female adapter to allow you to connect to your Mobile Radio. The PL-259 is also known as an HF Connector. No need to buy a new antenna if you change radios – just get the inexpensive new adapter.
Comes Complete With Paracord To Enhance Your Ease of Use in the Field
In order to make a fully portable and user friendly field experience we even include a 15 foot length of Military grade 550 Paracord. We recommend you obtain a 3/4″ Hex Nut from your Home Center to allow you to tie the loose end of the Paracord to. With this little weight attached you can effectively toss the nut & paracord over a tree limb or other object to gain elevation.

It is field deployable and it easily fits in a backpack. Simply unroll the antenna & throw the paracord over a limb or other higher object to get some height (tree limbs, fallen branches, hiking poles, etc.), connect to your radio and get on the air! Note: Keep the top of the antenna 8-10″ clear of metal or other objects as the top is a high impedance zone and close proximity to metal/other objects will affect the antenna.
