HAM 3 Band Tiger Tail Counterpoise Best Quality & Definitely Improves Handheld Performance
For Hand Held Radios with SMA Connectors. This is technically a Counterpoise but is nick-named “Tiger-Tail”. It will greatly improve both transmit & receive on your radio. Highest Quality Components & Construction
The HAM 3 Band Tiger Tail Counterpoise is made of the highest grade materials. We use silicone insulated ultra flex wire with solid copper conductors that are silver plated for the tuned sections. Complete with a commercial grade gold plated adapter that works for both Baofeng style (SMA Male Center Pin on Radio) & Yaesu style Radios (SMA Female Pin Socket on Radio). The SMA adapters we use are rated at 26.5 Ghz and test to an insertion loss of only 0.0445dB at 18 Ghz (this means a negligible loss at HAM frequencies).
Available in both SMA Style & BNC Style
We make the HAM 3 Band Tiger Tail Counterpoise in both a SMA version and a BNC version. The SMA version fits radios with either Male or Female SMA antenna connections – most modern radios use the SMA (Baofeng, Yaesu, ICOM, etc). The BNC version fits radios with BNC antenna connectors and some modern auxilary antennas that use the BNC connector. Please see the pictures or contact us if you are unsure of your connector type.
